In November 1981, we acquired a genuine old traditional Provençal farmhouse in the village of Le Thor, in the heart of the Pays des Sorgues.

Since 1981, Marie-Claire and Bernard have cared for a family property in Le Thor open to travellers: two gites, a large swimming pool and a 5,600 m² wooded park in the heart of Provence.
A word from the owners
More than a holiday address, a story.
Le Jardin Provençal is first and foremost a lived-in home, restored and passed on with care. Every stone of the farmhouse, every tree in the park and every place to unwind reflects attention to hospitality, authenticity and peace.
Marie-Claire and Bernard have shaped this property so guests can find a true place to rest in Provence, 800 metres from the centre of Le Thor and close to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The farmhouse today
The estate welcomes you in the countryside, within a 5,600 m² wooded and flower-filled park, tucked away at the end of a no-through lane.
Stays today
Two fully equipped air-conditioned gites welcome guests year-round, with weekly stays in high season and short stays depending on the period.
A dedicated team
Marie-Claire and Bernard, devoted to hospitality.
Bernard, formerly an aspiring stonemason with the Compagnons du Devoir, is now retired. He spent many years restoring the Provençal building with authenticity and respect for traditional materials.
Marie-Claire, after forty-two years with the same bank, is also retired. She has always been actively involved in managing the property and enhancing this heritage.
